Data Recovery Pro Overview
Data Recovery Pro is a data recovery tool that gives everyday computer users the ability to recover lost or deleted data including: Images, documents, videos, text files, emails, HTML files, music, compressed files, presentations, folders, binary files, and many other files.
Data Recovery Pro takes a complex task, data recovery, and makes it easy. The user interface is simple with just four main tabs: Scan, Advanced, Email, and About. Each tab takes you directly to the task and provides you with relevant choices. For example, take a look at the Advanced screen:
In addition to being able to recover data from your hard disk, Data Recovery Pro is also able to recover data from attached devices such as USB drives, external hard drives, portable music players, and even digital cameras and their media.
After scanning for recoverable files, Data Recovery Pro provides you with a Preview of the file so that you can be sure you have found the correct file before recovering it.
Data Recovery Pro is also able to recover email messages from Microsoft Outlook, Outlook Express, and Windows Vista Mail with support for both PST files and DBX files.
In addition, the software can recover data from old partitions, formatted media, repartitioned partitions, and even undelete files that haven't been named yet such as temporary files.
After scanning your disk for recoverable data and previewing the items, restoring the data is a simple matter of placing a check mark in the box of the file you wish to restore. Once restored, the recovered files are stored in the Recovered Items folder so finding your recently recovered files is always a snap!
Data Recovery Pro comes with an update feature, too. By enabling updates, you can be sure that you are running the most current version of the software possible.
