Check for Updates

Checking for updates ensures that you are always running the current version. By default, Data Recovery Pro automatically checks for updates however, you can change this if you want. To manually check for updates, click the Check for Updates button.

Update Options

If you want to change the options for updating your copy of Data Recovery Pro, click on Update Options.

From here, you will have two choices: General and Schedule.

The General options allow you to specify proxies, whether or not to close the update summary window, and whether or not to check for updates at Windows startup.



The Schedule Updates option gives you three choices: Auto Updates, Manual Updates, and Custom Updates. Auto Update is the default option which automatically checks for and downloads updates. You can switch to manual updates to do this on a manual basis or you can create a schedule of your own design.

Scheduling Updates

To set up your own schedule for updates, click the Custom Update option.



Under Schedule Type, you can choose Daily, Weekly, or Monthly. Under Start Time, you can specify the time of day the update should occur. Under Every, you can specify how often to do so. If you pick Weekly, you can specify the days of the week that you want the update to take place. If you pick Monthly, you can specify which day of the month updates should take place.
